Our program's in-house training clinic, the Community Counseling and Assessment Clinic, has played a central role in our training ever since our doctoral program was first accredited by the American Psychological Association. This is where our students obtain their first counseling experience, working with a variety of college students and community adults under the supervision of program faculty. In addition to our training mission, the Clinic provides service to the university and Hattiesburg communities in the form of quality, affordable psychological services. And in this context, the Clinic facilitates research by graduate students and program faculty.

The Community Counseling and Assessment Clinic has launched a new blog to share information about our services and upcoming events, mental health news, and tips for promoting health and wellness. We hope that this blog will make it easier for us to spread the word about our clinic and offer clients and community partners with another way to connect with us. You can find more about why we started a blog and what we hope it will allow us to do in the first post.
